If you’ve ever wondered where creativity meets comfort food in DeLand—you found it! Our latest stop on the HUGHLEY’S food tour was Twisted ChopStick, and hoo boy… this place delivered.

🥤 What We Sipped

Original Boba Tea — Creamy, refreshing, and exactly what you want in a boba. I couldn’t even wait to take a pic before sipping (no shame). Bonus: they keep the boba count just right—not too much, not too little.

🥣 Appetizer Fun

Smoked Salmon Guac with Lotus Root Chips — visually gorgeous and super tasty. The salmon is cooked, set elegantly beside rich guac, and the lotus chips were a fun surprise (think part yucca chip, part plantain). Tip: add a pinch of salt + pepper to pop the flavor!

Ginger Salad — my husband ordered this. The ginger flavor was mild, but still good and refreshing.

🍜 Ramen That Hits

Tonkotsu Ramen — my personal favorite here. Tender pork, savory broth… basically comfort in a bowl.
Fire Ramen — spicy take on tonkotsu. HOT but in the best, sweat-forming, flavor-packed way. Bring your spice game!

🍣 Sushi That Slays

Korean BBQ Roll — beautiful and delicious. Think Japanese-style Philly cheesesteak with steak and carrots inside, and extra steak + mayo on top.
Chef’s Selection Rolls — two mystery rolls! One had eel on top (🔥), and the other had a little kick. Both fun to try.
